Lossless Precision Analog Attenuator
Custom ASIC Volume Control

Based on NADAC D experience of designing and producing custom components, NADAC L features a dedicated volume control chip jointly developed with a leading semiconductor partner, using a JFET-like custom CMOS ASIC architecture. This advanced analog attenuation system delivers:

  • Click noise free operation
  • Channel imbalance less than 0.1dB
  • Ultra-low THD+n and high SNR
  • 1dB steps from 0dB to –60dB

The NADAC L exclusive chip continues Master Fidelity’s design philosophy first incarnated in the NADAC D proprietary DAC chip co-developed in-house. By designing at the silicon level, both NADAC L and NADAC D achieve performance by far beyond what standard components can offer. This integrated engineering approach is a key advantage that sets the NADAC system apart from any other high-end audio products.

True Dual-Mono Architecture

Completely isolated left and right audio channels, from power supply to signal processing. This dual-mono layout minimizes crosstalk to a negligible level, ensuring superior imaging, ultra-precise channel separation, and an incredible stable soundstage.

No-Compromise Component Selection

Similarly and to continue on the NADAC C philosophy this time, only ultra-precision 2ppm resistors are used throughout the audio signal path to maintain consistency and ultra-low noise over time. Coupling capacitors are high-quality hybrid types, chosen for their transparency and musical tonality.

Super Linear Power Supply Architecture

At the heart of the NADAC L’s power system is a custom-made toroidal transformer. Each core is hand-selected from only the highest-performing segment of premium-grade material, with each roll sufficient for just 10 NADAC L units. This is paired with:

  • Ideal rectification design to minimize AC-DC conversion loss
  • High-capacity, tonally-neutral capacitor arrays for ample energy reserves
  • Multi-stage linear regulators that optimize both noise floor and transient response

The result is a dynamic, noise-free power delivery suitable for the most demanding musical passages.

High-Performance Input and Output Stages

  • True differential design for all XLR inputs/outputs
  • True single-ended circuitry for all RCA inputs/outputs
  • High linearity current-driver output stages maintain musical integrity under all conditions

Flexible Input/Output Configuration

  • 4 balanced (XLR) + 2 single-ended (RCA) inputs, with one selectable at a time
  • 3 balanced (XLR) + 1 single-ended (RCA) outputs with independent control

Full Galvanic Isolation Between Analog and Control Domains

Both analog audio circuitry and digital control system are fully galvanically isolated to eliminate interference and preserve signal purity.

High-Precision Peak Level Meters

The front-panel meters offer true analog-style peak monitoring with an accuracy of ±0.05dB, providing reliable visualization of real-time audio dynamics and aiding in system tuning.
